Quote

“To love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering, one must not love.
But then, one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be happy, one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness.”..

-A paradoxical yet beautiful quote that I read.

For me it means that both situations of happiness and sadness will exist in life. They are unavoidable even in the most beautiful parts of life.So we shouldn't try to hide from them under the cover of anyone or anything.

Very nice but very confusing as well...
love is a beautiful feeling it has nothing to do with suffering or happiness .... you simply suffer when someone you love is suffering and simply happy when that some one is happy but the fact remains the same love is love nothing to do with suffering or to be happy.....

Cannot agree more.
Its pains when in love(occasionally) and it pains not to love. Am trying to switch off myself but then, the world doesn't disappear :-/
